Austin 1100 - Happy 60!
It’s the Sixtieth birthday of the Austin 1100. Launched in early 1963, it was virtually identical to the Morris 1100 released a year before.
By adding the Austin name to this most innovative small car meant that it was being sold through twice as many dealerships in the UK. The 1100 and later 1300 were the most popular car in Britain for most of its life.
