Austin's Gold Medal performance

As part of the lead up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Queen's Baton Relay took place throughout parts of Australia. Making it's way through Ipswich, being carried by those lucky enough to have the honour, one of the Baton carriers was local business identity Tom Edwards OAM, who carried the Baton across David Trumpy Bridge on March 29, 2018.

Instead of walking, Mr Edwards was driven in a vintage Austin 20 Tourer, owned by  Lyn Stanners, a member of the Ipswich Veteran & Vintage Vehicle Club. Below is a photo that was published on the Ipswich First website and supplied by Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert.
